鈥淭his is progress which we welcome but this is still not an energy 鈥榬evolution鈥�.听It fails to set out the radical change of course needed. The UK will not reach net zero carbon commitments without听fresh funding and targeted policies.听听听
The Great British Insulation Scheme, previously announced as ECO+, continues to fall听short. Millions of our homes require whole house retrofits, not just insulation.听We need a comprehensive National Retrofit Strategy: a long-term programme that will in听turn create jobs, upskill workers听and deliver healthier, greener homes.听听
This latest raft of commitments does not go far enough.听We need targeted action, and we听will continue to work with government to help make this happen.鈥澨�
