The RIBA has today responded to the UK Government鈥檚 setting out aims for trade negotiations with the United States.
RIBA CEO, Alan Vallance, said:
鈥淭oday鈥檚 announcement that the UK will be seeking a Free Trade Agreement with the US that includes the recognition of professional qualifications is a promising development for architects.
The RIBA has been calling on the Government to secure a transatlantic trade deal that supports architecture 鈥� as one of the UK鈥檚 world-leading services 鈥� through fair access to the US market and increased opportunities for professionals to operate overseas. We will continue to make this case as talks commence.鈥�
